Love the "dead fly" pose of Sake (that's my hubby's term for it)... Josephine used to sleep in that position a lot when she was younger --- not so much now that she is maturing into a "guard dog"... At least that's what always dumbfounded me about a dog sleeping on its back like that. Seems to be the ultimate in vulnerability / submissiveness! I'd think only for the naive puppy who has not thought much about what evil predator might be about?
Anyway, the cuteness of all these sleeping babes is just amazing!
Since we are all heavy sleepers in the Alvarado house, I have a lot to choose from. After reading Jessica's post about the 3 am and 4 am wake-up calls, I'm loving on Ryu for being the lazy bum that he is! We usually have to wake him up around 9 am!
The catalyst for changing his name from Keni (Strong and Vigorous) to Ryu (Dragon) - he's our little sleeping dragon:
What is it with shikas sleeping on their backs in positions that look like they fell off buildings? Miko does it all the time. Weird little dogs I tell you.
Do you see the shiba? (she wasnt invited up there)
The last few days Sasha has gotten on Niko's bed. They love each other but never cuddle or sleep together. Sasha was on Niko's bed and Niko was tired of sacrificing by sleeping on the floor and caved and crawled into bed with Sasha. These moments are rare and I had to take tons of pics.
I came upon some new sleepy pictures y'all might enjoy.
My older sisters black pug in LA- Bailey Miso on a car ride back from Maine Miso taking a nap on the couch Sake passed out under the hall table Sake and Miso after a long day of play Sake passed out after the baseball game Miso and Sake curled up, this was Sake's second day at home. Love at first sight I think.
These two were sleeping with their noses touching, forming a V-shape, but when I came back with the camera, Rakka was softly gnawing on Navi's head, like so:

Jess: You should get a pic of Miko sleeping like that. Ya know, for comparison purposes. ;-)
