Squirt is a very fitting name. He's quite cute. (even I'm trying hard to to get too attached. lol)
My only thought about the "drop": Are you 100% sure hubby heard the truck door open and close? I know I've seen people with dogs in the flat-bed of their trucks (not so smart)... Is it possible that the puppy might have hopped out of the flat-bed and yelped a little when he landed 4 feet lower? (Just throwing ideas out there to keep ya grounded ;))
Good luck with the little guy! My hope is that he finds a safe and happy home, whether that be with you or his original owners (provided the "drop" happens to somehow end up being an accident).
LOL It says....."Rimadyl (Carprofen) It's what dogs would ask for." Good job Pam! hahhaahah We got the leash from the vet when they had an open house. lol
Awwww I love JRTs. He does look like he's around the 4 month mark like SNF said. At the very least past the 3 1/2 month mark.
I'm just comparing him to pics of my JRTs when they were squirts :P
JRTs are such little characters. He'll be a handful, but a whole heap of fun as well. I'd say keep an eye on the possessiveness, but don't worry about it too much. My JRTs were like that with some things at first, but got over it.
Lindsay........The hubby said that same thing, well not rat terrier, he said Min Pin. (lol) I said rat terrier. They really are getting along so great. If only the little guy would sleep in his crate. lol Our bed is REALLY getting crowded.
So things are really working out nicely with Squirt and Honey. They really do seem like they were just made for each other. We have found out that Squirt is a digger. lol He LOVES to take his toys and treats and bury then in the cracks of the couch, under the covers on the beds, pretty much anywhere. It's super cute! hahaha I'll have to try to take a video of it. When we give the two of them a new chew, squirt will wait till Honey is distracted, steal it, then go bury it somewhere. Then he goes back to his own chew. lol
Is that typical JRT??? The digging? He's SUCH a cutie. And I LOVE how the two of them tire each other out! WHOO HOOO!!! lol
Burying things seems to just happen sometimes, at least in dogs at the humane society, I've never noticed a rhyme or reason to what breeds do it. However anytime a dog goes and buries the milkbone I give them, I about die laughing. They always seem so serious about it.
lol yeah as soon as I give squirt a treat he runs off into another room and buries it. The kicker is when Honey just HAPPENS to find it. you can almost see squirt's reaction......."DOH! Dang it! Now I have to steal it back and find another hiding spot."

=0)
I hope the people that dropped him had 2 flat tires and while trying to change them, the pickup fell on their hands.
I'm glad that he wasn't hurt when he was dropped off. I can't understand how someone could just leave a little pup like that!

He really does look to be fitting RIGHT in! I think he was meant to find you...
