Seasons of Sage - MORE snow! YAY!
This is the look I live for- happy Sage! (edited to have a bigger photo)
The crookedest picture of his famous nose
puppy Sage enjoying the hose
Dog field days- proof that as a puppy he was pretty dog-social
More Field friends. This dog is Yankee- crappy lighting but I think the juxtaposition with Sage is hilarious..
He loved playing with my brother's pointer puppy, Dell, when she was little. As she got older he discovered that Dell is an uncomfortable close-talker and has a much smaller personal space bubble around her (my brother says she has NO sense of personal space) than he does.
Loki the cat has no problem with being a pillow for Sage. He loves her. They watch football together.
We did agility together for several months. We passed group Obedience 1, but got kicked out of Beginner Agility class because he hated being teased by the border collies and got in trouble for cussing them out. This was from our private class- like his Kai brethren, he loved all the tall obstacles- A-frame and Dog Walk best.
nice side view of brindle brother
I get hay bales for the dogs sometimes to make the yard new and fun. We get 6-8 of them and build a tower or in this case a little fort...Reilly looks like a bank teller.
Again- he likes to be perched on top of things. He looks all reflective, but he's actually watchdogging out the front window to see if the neighbors' cat is out.

Comments
Puppy Sage when we first got him- 16 weeks:
His face is like a bear's- a little bear with a busted nose- here he is all covered in seeds from the tall hay.
and finally, look: he's got one ear up!
Thanks for looking at his thread, and the kind words everybody!
I have some Sage frisbee footage, and howling footage- but I need to learn iMovie before I can share it.
Sage and my mom- really he loves her, but she thinks he's a gargoyle.
We have "bear bells" too, Blue had one on today on our walk - same one! )
----
Those are my sis' dogs, Cleo the lab and Cody- who was billed as a St Bernard by the rescue she got him from. He's probably sheltie-beagle.
This is Rei in full hunting season safety wear:
Thanks to all of you who have this, I did end up getting him the Ruffwear harness and we all feel so much better hiking with this on. We did sustain a Seiji Surge (reactive episode) while wearing this and he did not escape. I liked that I can hold the handle on the back if needed, but mostly that he is safe, comfy and cant back out or hurt himself trying to.
This is Real Sage and his understudy, Paper Sage, who subbed in for him at Meetup. They are just about the same size.
The top of Sage's fuzzy head. He is eating a biscuit. I even love his paws.
Sage is happy in the backyard, hanging out after frisbee and digging and playing.
Love that grin!
and finally...if this works, Brindle Films brings you Sage's first video:
Our town has a muster horn for the volunteer fire dept. Or perhaps it's the Great Wolf calling...
The Ruffwear harness is great. When Koda stops growing, we will invest in one. Does it get Sage hot at all or does he stay cool in it?
What a creepy, alien invasion alarm siren. No wonder he was howling-he thought it was the day the earth stood still or something Great pictures!
LOL Lindsay- alien invasion! I thought when they built the new fire station they might retire the muster horn, but nope, we get to listen to that still.
Tara- I suppose the black might get hot, but its not really a lot of coverage- think english saddle rather than western- and there's a round space in the middle by the handle so its not a big solid piece. I dont think it would add much heat, but it also comes in red, so if heat is a concern you dont have to get all black. Black looks quite cool. Jeff says Sage looks like he's in Special Ops with it on!
