It just makes him look cute and gives his speech a funny accent. My friend Kevin says he'd talk like Edward G. Robinson, see? Yeah, see? Here's what we're gonna do, see?
His teeth actually line up with each other and fit perfectly, the top and bottom jaws match, it's just that the whole left side of the end of his muzzle is sortof pushed back. Like his face was smooshed against something when he was developing. He doesn't have any jaw clicking or sticking, and he chews on his chewey things fine- although he doesn't particularly love to chew, but I think that's just Sage. He loves greenies and will work on them slowly and thoughtfully, but he is not into rawhides or nylabones (except he really likes the soft yellow part of the Bar-B-Chew corn cob toy). He never chewed up shoes or furniture, but he does like to play tug very much, so I think his jaws feel good and work fine.
Rei and I took Sage with us to the reservoir today. We hoped to meet up with our Lab buddies Pete and Cooper, but they weren't out, so we went around the woods by ourselves, then the shore, then took a lil wooden bridge to small island where I let Sage off his leash to wrestle and swim. Sage had much fun but he is more relaxed, or perhaps more distracted, with the pack (ironically) around him, so we didn't stay a huge long time by ourselves.
Since its fall, the water level is very low and we can go around the edge for interesting smells. So this is what the bottom of the reservoir feels like. Lots of clamshells, a bit mucky. a bit stony.
To the left of Sage's feet there are these strange craters. When the water is higher, you can see them under water, so I don't know if they are made by fishes or turtles. They seem like nests or something. there are lots of these in the shallows.
Sage in the bushes. He likes to take his stick up in the bushes, after he swims back with it.
that last picture is adorable. Sage is very "you talkin' to me?" hehe, I have no idea what molossory means though (or who it is, if it is a someone). Brindle is my favourite and they're both to die for, love 'em.
Molossors are the ancient mastiff type dogs from which so many of our blocky-headed dog breeds come. Molossor-y is me making an adjective out of it. sorry for being obscure- in my own world sometimes... ok, much of the time.
This photo was even better just before I took it- they had their heads lower and not leaning away from each other. You get what you get with photography sometimes...
lol thats ok, I thought it was a surname! I'm very tired tonight haha I know how you feel with photography, my finger is half a second after Tigers cute poses, it's like he knows
They're such a happy duo. Falling in love with brindle pups.
As for the photo timing isssue...with Ki it's that he notices I'm paying attention to him. *picks up camera and looks at Ki* He thinks, 'OOOooooh! Attention!' and runs over.
...and for the record gargoyles are guardians to keep the bad things away lol but Sage is still too cute to be one.
Chrys-I met a brindle pup WITH a wry mouth the other day at work! He walked in and I thought I was looking at a puppy Sage. It turns out he has some type of Odontogenic Cyst (I think), but I keep forgetting to review the rad results whenever I am there. There is a lump in his jaw that you can feel on the caved in side. I tried taking pictures, but he was so wiggly. Anyways, I thought about your guy when I saw this cute little brindle pup.
oh, it was pretty scary looking- to other pumpkins! Sage is a Cubist, so his work is all about breaking the image and rearranging it. I am hoping the chipmunks will derive some nutrition from the remains at least...
I love that last pic. I was watching some show where a woman gave tiger cubs pumpkins to play with to work on their prey drive. I was thinking about giving Koda one. lol.
Chrystal; Love the seasonal pics of Sage (and all the others, too!)! --- somehow missed this thread, but it was fun to review the whole thing before off to the office. Thanks for sharing!
LOVE the last 4 spam posts! What a couple of cuties you have. Reading stories about them always makes me smile =0). I especially like that Sage had to get the last word in a the end of the siren video hahaha.
Thanks everyone. Here's a fail video on my part- I threw the toy out of the yard by mistake- it's weighted funny and I was holding the camera. Check out his last "HUMPF!" at the very end...Like he just can't beLIEVE it...
Sage today in snow. He was bowing and pouncing to invite Reilly to play sooooo bad. She played hard to get for a while.
Jeff took this picture out the front door screen of Sage with his squirrel back a month or so ago when he caught it- nice presentation.
Mother and son. Some things are quite the same, others different. I really like this shot of Sage I took today. His coat is quite full and he has tufty cheeks. I think the light undercoat shows up each black hair more than in his summer coat.
Those are great pics. I agree, very nice presentation of the squirrel. It looks like he is looking up asking "What do I do with it now?".
Sage's mom is cute, she does look kia-ish, and a bit mal-ish. She is pretty. as for Sage, I agree, his coat looks great, his crooked nose plays tricks on the eye.

Sage loos great in his new harness too (previous pics).

Koda takes his sticks to a little hiding place too when he finds them. He'll go in or under bushes. It's funny that Sage does that too.
I think I've posted this before, but this is one of my favs of them together, although they both look very Molossory.

Molossory should be an official forum word.
More watchdogging on the haytop- nice late october cold sky there.
Sage attempts to carve his jackolantern
oops! I have to fix my video. sorry!
Can't play the video, it doesn't work for me .
