Thanks guys, I'm so excited to finally have her home, was afraid we would have to wait even longer with the blizzard that's terrorizing the east coast. The minute I took her out of the crate at the airport, she was all kisses even when she was shivering and nervous. Took the car ride home like a champ, no messes and she slept the whole way.
We haven't let her interact with the boys yet beyond seeing each other over the door (we have half a dutch door to the bedroom we're keeping her in for now, which is also where we keep the reptiles). She did growl at Tetsu when he snuck in while she was crated, which kind of made me laugh, and was understandable since her whole life was turned upside down. We're hoping to take the three of them on a short walk when the weather settles down a bit, and we'll see what happens.
Right now, she's doing amazingly well spending the night in the crate, only whimpered for a few minutes before a night of silence. Can't wait to see what the future holds:)
So glad she made it safe and sound! I was worried about her when Peggy told me that she would be traveling yesterday. When I met her, she was just a little ball of energy, so you're going to have your hands full. Such a sweetheart though! Cant wait to see updates. Does she have a name yet?
No name, I have no idea what to call her. Right now I just make kissy sounds to get her attention. She is doing real good though and has gotten to meet the cats. Boy, do they hate her. All she had to do was look at them and they did their cat "growls", and attempted to smack her a few times. I started to laugh as she took that as play did a couple of play bows, which facilitated her getting smacked on the head by the cats.
Saya, I mostly have rhacodactylus geckos, tons of cresteds and a few leachies, all have which gotten a lot more vocal (they can bark and chirp) since I moved her in there. I also have a few ball pythons, one of which is a piebald morph.
Still no name for her, but if anyone has any ideas don't be afraid to shout them out. Peggy (the breeder) says I should name her 'Yuki' since we picked her up during a snow storm. A few other suggestions were 'Kaguya Hime' and 'Yamiyo'.
Also took the three to the dog park to see how they would all do together. We took over the small dog section since it was empty (big dog section was packed) and it would be easier to prevent or stop any arguments. She did really well with the other dogs romping around the large section, and got really curious to the howls of an excited beagle waiting to get into the park. All of them did really well with the intact male chihuahua that was with us, Tetsu surprised me especially since he doesn't like intact males. The chihuahua really loved humping Tikaani's front leg, and he just stood there and took it, but every time I tried to get a picture the chi would stop.
Still got to upload videos of her playing with the chihuahua, as well as getting her butt kicked by my cat. But these pictures will have to do for now.
Rina, in essence I got him for a really good price. He came with two free het pied sisters, of which I sold for a good price. So if you consider that, I got him for like 1/3 of what he is worth.
Looks like little Miss No-Name is fitting in just right. She looks like a stocky mini Tetsu! Although, I am sure she will outweight him quite soon.
As for the name thing... I am terrible with names, usually they just come to me... Or someone else names them (Bella and Nola were named by someone else).
Were you thinking about sticking with the "T" theme?
I'm not a piebald fan but I know a guy that would be green with envy if he heard that haha. He's waiting for his het pieds to get to breeding size right now.
As for the name...it takes us 1-2 weeks to name our own animals, I'm no help to someone else :P
She is so cute and looks like she had fun at the dog park can't wait to see more spam of her and her two brothers.
I love reptiles and snakes I only own two corn snakes used to be three, but Yoshi died he was 10 or more years old I miss him he was so gentle never tried to bite me.. My other two never bite me, but Yoshi was pretty calm he liked resting in my lap or pockets..
I love ball pythons I might get one eventually.
I'm not sure on names so not much help I like Kaguya or Kuroyuki Crimson had a few nice suggestions.
Maybe look up some Japanese names or any type of names and see what fits..
I said this on the Shiba side, but damn, congrats! Your new girl is gorgeous! I didn't even know there were black and tan shikokus so this was interesting to me! Love the pics from the dog park....handsome Akitas in that last pic!

What kind of reptiles do you have? Just curious.

Beth she is really pretty and the fact that she is a B&T makes her such a perfect fit.

Good luck with name choosing.
