My boss from the internship told me if I moved to Calgary (from Florida), I wouldn't think the first winter was bad.. Second year is bearable, third year, you'll get fed up, fifth, you'll start cussing and becoming a snow bird.
I remember when I tried the X-pen, Sasuke would climb out of it. I blame myself for teaching him basic parkour moves. lol
British Columbia is the most beautiful! And the Yukon Territories is pretty damn cold! Ha, sorry, can you tell I grew up in Alaska? I loved those provinces.....But Alberta is pretty too....
Anyway, glad to hear you're settling in and look forward to pics!
@shibamistress haha you're right! BC IS beautiful! I think anywhere with REAL mountains and forests is breathtaking... Hahahah How could I forget about the Territories! But in my defence, I did say "province" and the Yukon is a territory! - on a side note, I've pretty much decided I need to move to BC or Alberta. Either or!
(You grew up in Alaska? That's pretty cool! Were you there when it was still part of Canada and they sold it to the US? (end tangent))
my Geography Nerd Alarm is going off! Russia sold Alaska to the US in the 1860somethingorother Lisa would have to be like 150 years old... /Nerd Alert...
Yep, Seward's Folly it was called when the US bought it from the Russians in 1867, because no one thought it would be of value. Alaska became the 49th state in 1959, which was also well before I lived there (or I was even born!). Yes, I still remember my Alaska history class from 8th grade!
HAHAHAH @wrylybrindle@shibamistress obviously I don't know my geography. (I learned it in french because I was in a special french program... but I obviously didn't know my french well enough either! I know.. lame excuse.)
That's all right, when I was a teen I babysat for these girls who had Trivial Pursuit Junior and I never got the History slice of pie- turns out it was a Canadian Edition, with all Canadian history! Those little girls whupped me at Trivial Pursuit Junior!
