On the project idea - what about a dog park bag?  Whenever I go to the dog park - I have this huge tote that has water bowl, bottled water, treats, leash, poo bags, etc.  A friend of mine makes purses so I drew up something that shows the number of pockets and sizes I need for when I go to the park with Jazz.  If you don't have enough fabric to do the entire bag, you could do accents with the fabric - like patches or pockets.

thanks LJ! I don't think I'll have enough fabric for a good sized tote for the park but I will probably do accents!!

When I looked at the fabric, I visualized boxers.  What husband wouldn't be proud to be sporting in his new Shiba Trunks! Sundays in the yarden with neighbors peeping suspiciously at Dad's new skibbies LOL. In this case the skibbies would be shibbies.  LOL

Christmas is just around the corner and that would definitely be for the man who has everything; besides he wouldn't know what to do with the apron anyways. <smile>

What did you end up making?

    nothing!!!
    Its awful, I know.

But I bought a pattern for a small apron when I prepare home cooked RAW meals and I ordered a light red cherry blossom fabric for the apron and will probably use the shiba fabric for the pockets.. and I bought a binder that I want to maybe put the left over scraps of fabric on. This binder is growing by the day, though! It has all my found dog related articles on food, behavior, health, Nihon Ken spitz info.. Its loaded already!! and when the WDJ starts coming, it will be overloaded!!

So maybe over the July 4th long weekend, since I'm taking my birthday off for an even longer weekend, I'll get started on a real project!! :)
