@venus ha ha! Keiko does attempt to cover what she is burying but she has normally flung the dirt so far when she was digging that it's still very visible lol
Hi All! Its been a couple of months since I updated Keiko's thread so there's plenty of spam!
She has just turned 8 months and is still a joy although there have been a few occasions recently where she seems to have 'forgotten' how to behave lol Nothing too serious just forgetting her manners greeting people i.e jumping up and forgetting how to behave on a walk properly. We have put a lot of time in to ensuring her boundaries have been reinforced and it's starting to pay off she is doing better on walks most days although it takes forever to get anywhere sometimes if she is feeling especially naughty because I have to keep turning and going the other way each time she pulls.
In general she is still doing really well just got a touch of the 'teen attitude' every now and then and I am expecting her to go in to season at any moment. We have still been attending ring craft class and have competed in a companion show and an open show with our next show coming up next week! She gets very distracted during shows and won't take bait so I am trying to get her into more so she can get used to the environment more and hopefully we will improve; although she will be let down by me probably as I have never done it before and I'm still very much learning. In our last show she did much better with the examination staying still the whole time whereas in the companion show she tried to roll over for a belly rub and wash the judges face when they were examining her!
I have been letting her have more off lead time recently but still only with other off lead dogs she plays with because her recall is not always reliable when she is on her own. She is still an absolute joy and it is guaranteed that she will do something everyday that makes me smile which is Fab!!
Sorry for the essay, here is the spam!
We met up with @venus at the open show we went to and Keiko was reunited with her sister Eris and they loved each other! They were inseparable it was so cute!
I Know it's blurry but it's one of the only half decent pics I got of Keiko and Eris playing because they were moving around so much and I didn't have my proper camera.
Me and Keiko!
Had to get a Christmas Pic in lol! Not the best as the camera focused on the tree in stead of the dog but nice none the less lol
Keiko is beautiful- she is growing up so nicely. I love her coloring- the dark is dark and the red is red- and her mane, I just want to scritch her behind the ears in that lovely mane!
she is so like her mum, pictures really do not do her justice, far better in the flesh. i really need to get some decent photos of her sister really and update her thread.
Just had to add a couple of Christmas pics as I'm feeling festive!
Keiko is doing OK with her first Christmas tree although we did find a destroyed tree decoration in her bed that she had stolen while we weren't looking! She does occasionally try to have a chew but we tell her no and re-direct so fingers crossed she won't destroy it!
I haven't been on the forum for a while so I'm back now and looking to catch up!
Keiko is still a sweetheart and is doing well! She will be 1 this week (it's absolutely flown by) and I will update with some pictures later this week!
I finally had a chance to get to this thread (yes I'm looking at them all!) I must say my favorite is the picture of Keiko looking out the window at the birds, with a bottle of Jack Daniels on the sill. LOL
Well Keiko is 1 Today! The time has absolutely flown and I've spoilt her today!
She is growing up nicely and is still a pleasure. She is such a people person and a very social pup. She loves other dogs and she loves other dogs especially those that like to rough-house alot! (apart from being a little grumpy with some dogs this week a few days before she came into season)
She is currently in season and a couple of months after it has finished we are planning on having her spayed. She is such a sweet heart I am so glad we got her because she never fails to make me smile everyday! Well as promised here are some updated pics of her!
Keiko and my niece! They adored each other!
Keiko trying to get my brothers dog Bailey to play after wearing him out! They got on brilliantly and were inseparable it was so cute!
