Thanks...I was esp. interested in the dogfoodadvisor, which measured lactose levels in various dairy products. More for me than for the dogs: I've always been mildly lactose intolerant (common in Native/Hispanic people among others), and puzzled by it, because I can (and do!) eat a lot of cheese, which never causes problems. But I have to be careful with ice cream, and plain milk will make me sick for sure (and I also don't like it at all, not even in cereal, but I think that may be a hold over from getting sick so often as a child after being forced to drink it). I always wondered if the lactose levels were different but never bothered to look, so thanks!
And I read it to my husband. Who ran through the dogs to see who was having problems. Two dogs. The third, no. So then he said "well, see? They're ok then." Uh, no. One dog is ok. Clearly this will take further work on my part.
Haha!! Yeah, I had to go off milk for a week after getting a stomach bug, then ever since then, plain milk and ice cream make me sick too! Cheese is ok, and yogurt is iffy, but nooo way plain milk anymore. So it was cool to see for ourselves too
That's so funny about your husband xP !! I cracked up hehe :-))
