Today a year ago, on a snowy morning, we drove to Brad's house and picked up ChoCho. Our lives were forever changed! It's been a wild year full of crazy and happy moments, along with it's share of frustrating ones. We feel so lucky to have this pretty lady be part of our little family and don't regret all the hardships we had to go through to make it work! It was worth it and we would do it again!
HUGE Thanks to all the people that gave us advice and reassured us that everything was going to be ok! And of course to Brad and Jen who trusted us with ChoCho, answered all my questions and didn't complain about me taking up all their text messages! :P
-First time in the house and trying to hide from us. lol (it's funny now... but it was the most heartbreaking and stressful thing I've ever done!)
-We just want to LOVE YOU!
-ChoCho was scared of being in the kitchen... As newbies we thought that carrying her would help her... BAD IDEA! lol I've never experienced "learning from your mistakes" as much as I did with ChoCho!
Happy anniversary ChoCho! She's such a pretty girl. She looks so happy in her recent pictures that to see her from her early days is almost like looking at a different dog.
@Crispy I know what you're talking about. She's a totally different dog! Even though it's been a year and she's changed a ton, looking through these old pictures bring back a lot of the heartbreaking emotions... a well as the feeling of "HOLY CRAP! DID WE SERIOUSLY PULL THIS OFF?!!" It seems weird to remember the feeling of helplessness and see where we are today-->
Great pics, and so glad she's fit in so well with you! And of course, a year ago, today you not only got ChoCho, but something else happened.....some puppies were born, one of which was destined to also go home with you and be ChoCho's best friend!
waw! Happy one year anniversary ChoCho. Lol, this reminds me, I feel like such a bad fur-mom, i don't even remember when I brought Kaiju home! I'm glad I had Bea and Kilbe at that time too. i think Kaiju would have been like choCho if it was for them!
OMG!! hahahahah I LOVEE the latest ChoCho pic!! Congrats and I am super inspired and in awe of your patience and dedication to her! She's suuuuch a pretty little lady! I want to snuggle with her! (heart)
I can't wait to see where I am with Hana in a year..
Glad that despite all the trials and tribulations that ChoCho gave you that it all turned out well in the end! She has a great family and a super dog-friend in Goro.
