I wasn't happy to have it on me, but I knew soap would get it off at home. I just didn't wanted to keep it off the leash and flashlight, so the snow took some off when I tried that.

    LMAO
Im at work in a quiet office and that just made me so abruptly laugh out loud! I got some stares but it was worth it! That story was great Brandon!

Brad- I'm suprised you'd freak out. With such an active pack I thought you'd be used to similar situations?? I have only cats but I am well versed in the "what the heck is this" smelly stuff. When my lil kitty was very sick I got daily tummy contents on my lap, and you think only monkeys can throw poo?? NOOO, aparently Tink knew a monkey once....she can THROW poo with the best of them! LOL

    My sympathies Brandon!

Once T rolled in I think either beaver poop or old skunk spray. He stunk so bad we almost didn't get him home before looking for an errant pool... just kidding.

Wow... Brandon, you are an awesome story teller. I am still laughing!

Poor Nemo... He thought he was rolling in something great... Too bad it turned out to be so terribly gross. I am however, quite curious to know what kind of gunk Nemo found to ruin your night!

My girls hardly ever roll in anything stinkier than rabbit poop. For that I am thankful for. However, I never get a pre-roll dance... Usually a sniff, and then they are down.

I might go back and check the spot out, see what's there.

Aw poor Nemo, he just wanted to get a little dirty.

    Laughing Hysterically....

funky dog, so funky you can smell it. I can't wait till I get to experience this.

Um.......Didnt you mention post bath pics???? :D

I dont think Honey has EVER rolled in anything. We have a TON of deer that pass through our yard, so there's always deer poo. Thankfully Honey only ever smells it.

Here's a pic of a mommy deer and her babies passing through our front yard. She's a BAD mommy for not crossing WITH the kids!!!! lol

Sorry for the threadjack.....but I had to post this one too....it was the season before the babies showed up. These two were "getting it on" in my backyard. Believe me....I got the XXX version! lol I happened to look out the window and BAM! There they were. They stuck around for quite a bit after they were through. That's when I got the camera out. Figured it was "safe". lol

oh, poor Nemo, but that is so funny...Maybe this will teach you both to stay away from stinky things;)

It's stories like these that make me thankful for my "prissy" dog.

Took Nemo out to the dog park last night so he could run in the slop and roll around a bit. Luckily there was nothing foul and he could go about getting a little dog scent back on him.

Even though we were there after 8:00, there were a couple of other people there. I kept Nemo in the small dog area and he actually ran the fence nicely with two dogs. One time there was three dogs (all belonging to one guy) on the other side of the fence and he got kind of nasty.

Based on my experiences with a reactive dog, that sounds like a great outing!

The night that Nemo got smelly, was the same night I returned Takara to her place. Here are a few pictures of her.

Takara really is so pretty. You already know how handsome I think Nemo is.

what great photos! Love the narrative.

    Ha ha, what a stinker.

Jess - I agree, Takara is a pretty girl. When she and Nemo walk next to each other they are a great couple. It's very easy to tell male and female with them. Takara is a stubborn dog though. She does not like to walk fast, she strolls very leisurely, and does not like to be hurried. Very much a Princess.

Nemo has some good doggie friends huh? That is nice that he gets so much company.
  • edited November -1
Yes he has some good friends, and we have been dog sitting a lot lately. We even had Whizzer again Friday through Sunday. He only spent Thursday by himself this week. However I don't think we get Whizzer again until the end of June.

Nemo's post bath routine is hilarious! He's such a funny guy.

I bet Nemo and Takara walking down the street are a sight to see.

A guy pulled his car over and talked to me for like 5 minutes about them last week. He seemed pretty intrigued, and asked if they were difficult dogs, I smiled and said "they certainly can be."

awesome post bath spam. Takara is very pretty, her and Nemo almost match!
  • edited November -1
Once someone asked me if Miso was a good attentive dog and I said "Sure, when he feels like it!"
  • edited November -1
Beautiful pictures. Takara is definitely a very pretty gal. I bet her and Nemo can stop traffic together!

Now, I have never bathed any dog except Shibas... do other dogs throw such a fit after bathing as Shibas? Both of my will shake, roll on the ground, and zoom around after a bath... just like Nemo.

My Huskies used to do the same post bath routine, shake, zoomies, etc.

Maui and Kaia freak out after a bath too - that's hilarious.
