I just love Kuma's little prance. I wonder if that's a boy thing. Keigo prances about the same way. Mika bolts around like lightning. Could be a better breeding thing. Keigo seems to walk with more regality. While Mika is lower to the ground more catlike. Oh, I can't really describe it, but there is a distinct difference in their gait.
Awesome Rui!! Those are really great action shots. Your cat is pretty awesome and fearless. ahah yeah the last is like the final battle roar. Go Kitty!!!
Haha, that is similar to how Toby and Coda play. Though, Toby is much smaller, but my cat is huge, so Toby and Coda are similar in size. My cat lingers on a high place, then leaps down and attacks Toby, gets on his back, bites his neck and pretty much makes himself look like an idiot. Then ... Toby sits on him.
Rui, great spam. I love seeing pix of Nyx, btw. She is so pretty. I thought my cat Brittney was the only weird kitty who ate dog food. Turns out she has a soul mate in Nyx.When Keigo go sees Brittney eating his food, he whine's and cries and carries on. He looks at me like 'MOM, are you gonna let her do that??'
Ha Ha! Nyx looks so little next to the giant Kuma, but what a fierce "fighter".... Love the pics! Enjoy the new camera....Fabulous pics, no doubt part credit is owed to the new camera, but I think there must be much credit due to the operator as well!
Thanks for the comments! They really get into it, and she doesn't hold back much. She never goes for the eyes though, so I think it's safe to say she likes the fun.
Bev - On that situation it was more the camera than the photographer. It was just a matter of keeping the shutter button pressed and letting it shoot away.
Corina - Yes, it does seem like it was just yesterday. They're going to be 10 months on the 20th.
No kidding guys. He really is a great looking Akita. I absolutely love the 4th to last shot of him trotting with his head turned into the setting sun. What a perfect shot to capture a great afternoon with your loyal companion.
I have to say those really hit the spot. Sometimes I wonder if I'm doing what's right for them and I have to confess it is very good and reassuring to hear comments like that from people that are on the same boat and you know take really good care of their furry family. Thank you.
I really like the last 4 shots, even if the third to last is completely blurred. I think he came out really well in the portraits and the sunset photo came out pretty well, if I can say so.
(It's been quite a long while waiting for an SLR, and especially now, with the kids, I think it was one of the best buys ever)
Rui: Kuma is extremely handsome... love the photos of him in the sun! And the green grass (its mostly about winter brown around MN now, can't wait for the white snow to cover it up!)!
Just curious -- did you get a zoom or telephoto lens with your SLR? What brand camera did you buy?

He fetches pretty well. Smart boy realized he didn't actually have to retrieve the object to make you give him a treat though. :-P
He looks great too, his color is getting very nice.

Nyx stealing food, literally from under Kuma
A nice portrait of Nyx
The kids were play fighting in the kitchen and I took the chance to try and get a few action shots
You can see the rest of the "fight" here
"As always-I conquered the beast!"
Kuma and Nyx are sooo cute together.
I just don' think it gets cuter than Kuma and Nyx playing. I melt every time. I love the action shots! )

& Grats on the new camera-always fun! ~

Is it just me or does my pretty little cat look like Gary Oldman in Dracula in some of the pics above?!
I have to put some of these on my phone to look at when I'm annoyed - I belt out laughing every single time!
xx
Geez...wow, wasn't it just like, er, yesterday that you got "the kids"? How old are they now? -flips through previous posts-

Amazingly adorable. I love Kuma spam. He looks like an amazing dog!
Great spam as usual!
