Looks like a fund day! Kuma is really getting handsome, the first pic and last pic of his head is just are really nice. I loved the video too! Hew reminds me of a mix between Hilo and Fuji!

    Update time!
We went to the park on Sunday and, as usual, we got all the normal comments "Look, a Husky" "So cute", you know how it goes. But , the funny one was "...it's a mix". This was the only thing I got form a group that passed and I suppose were guessing Husky or no Husky. Someone just let out "It's a mix"! Eheheheh, I love connaisseurs.
This other lady came up to us and went "So cute, I had never seen a brown Husky."

Husky it closer in looks to an akita than a shiba is to a cat.
  • edited November -1
Oh wow Rui, I love the shot of him in the square. Its very artistic!

I must say, a husky looks less like an Akita than a Shiba looks like a fox. So why all the confusion?

    Brown?

He looks great! He is love'n that rope ball thing in the last pic. :o)

That rope toy is his favourite toy to grab when we get home. Then he loves dropping it on our feet. That freaking thing weighs about 1 Kg!!!

what a ham! I love this dog!
  • edited November -1
I actually just "awww"ed out loud. :-) He wuuuvvves his mommy.

Did he get bigger in the last few weeks? He looks huge to me.
  • edited November -1
To think, Nat wasn't a dog person a few moths ago. lol!

I bet that rope ball gets a little heavier when Kuma sucks on it for a while.

What a big handsome boy!!! :D He looks like so much fun to hug Rui :) ~
  • edited November -1
Nat may still not be a dog person, but she certainly is a Kuma person. Then again who wouldn't be. He really is such a gorgeous boy. And he looks like he is a master snuggle bug.
  • edited November -1
    You got it right Jessica!
    I'm a Kuma person. Do I really have a choice??! :-)
  • edited November -1
I know the secret to get Nat on here now!
    Talk about her!
  • edited November -1
    haha!
You may be right there... lol.
I have to use Rui's Mac to use the internet since I haven't bought a new laptop yet. So my internet time is strictly to check emails, research for my lesson plans and see what Rui's posted about Kuma & Nyx (esp. when I'm in the pic or the video).
Hopefully I'll get one around Xmas, though I don't promise to post more - I'm ignorant when it comes to dogs so I limit myself to reading mainly.

Hi Nat!!!! Don't be such a stranger damn it. 99% of us were ignorant when we joined the forum, but we still posted and asked questions. That's how we learn.

BTW, I love the smile on your face in that video. Like you know you're spoiling Kuma, but you are loving every second of it!

Haven't spammed you in a while, so brace yourselves because this is a lot of spam!

    Kuma, the foot warmer

"this was your slipper, it is now mine"

    Spazzing time

    image

    "I spazzed, now I rest"
    image

"No more resting, we play now!"
    image

    And then this followed

Nyx wants to read, it seems. Kuma seems to have other plans :-)

This should be spam enough for a while...

Aww! I heart Kuma! (and Nyx!) He has grown into such a gorgeous (not so) little man. Can I steal him to come warm my feet? My Shibas are not quite willing to lie in one spot for more than 2 minutes.
  • edited November -1
Hehe. I didn't notice Nyx on the bookshelf the first time I saw the last video. How cute! :-)

Great spam Rui. Kuma is super handsome and his sweet and playful temperament totally comes through in his pictures and videos.
  • edited November -1
Great spam. Do Nyx and Kuma still get along as well as before, or they starting to play less?

Kuma is getting pretty tall, huh? Do you know how tall he is now?

    ----
  • edited November -1
They're still very playful, pretty much everyday I have to tell them to get off each other because one of them is getting abusive (normally it's Kuma).

Last time I measured him, he seemed to be 63cm, but I did it 4 times and got 3 different results, 61/63(x2)/64 (I have to start using the same method my Mom used to measure me,get him close to a wall and get something that's perpendicular to the wall and that rests on his shoulders)

Great videos! Love the Kuma/Nyx encounters, especially when the little kitty shimmies under the couch! And Kuma is just "Oh well..." and off to explore something else!

    Thanks for sharing!

Today we took Kuma to his first dog show, to compete.
It didn't go that well, we had a few problems with anxiety, but we finally got to the ring. Kuma got a "very good" mark, and finished second in the junior male class (there were 2 Akitas in that class)

    Some spam:

Hey man, 2nd is the the 1st runner up! :-)

Sorry to hear about his anxiety. I bet he'll get better with time. I would probably have been a little overwhelmed myself so it wouldn't surprise me if my dog was a bit off too.

    Thanks for the spam!

That is so cute! He was the new kid on the block. How much did you work with him to prepare him?
